CentrePort South Breaks Ground – November 2024

The development of CentrePort South has officially begun, with key tenders for Phase 1A water and wastewater infrastructure advancing and a new development team established to expedite construction. The ceremonial groundbreaking highlighted the project’s potential to generate over 16,000 jobs and $80 million in annual tax revenue. Stakeholders in attendance included Mayor Scott Gillingham, Minister Lisa Naylor, and Minister Jamie Moses.

CentrePort South will feature 1,800 acres of development, including residential and industrial areas, and aims to attract significant investment and growth in Winnipeg. Tenders for the Interceptor, Feeder Main and Force Main have all been awarded and CentrePort Partner Tri-Core Projects will be working on the project.
