Honouring Peggy May’s Legacy at Southport – March 2025

Former Southport Aerospace Centre’s CEO, Peggy May, knew that the future of Southport was bright and that the organization needed to be equipped with a space that fostered long-term growth, collaboration, and innovation. Southport’s new administrative building was designed with a growing team in mind, while reinforcing Southport’s commitment to environmental sustainability with a LEED Silver certification. The state-of-the art building showcases a fresh, modern design with stylistic nods to Southport’s strong history in aviation and aerospace.

The new administrative building, recently named the Peggy May Legacy Centre, is a testament to Peggy’s impact on the organization and the community at large. The Peggy May Legacy Centre sets the precedent for all new construction in Southport, which is in alignment with Southport’s Build Design Guidelines she helped establish prior to her passing this past December.

CentrePort staff continue to send love and condolences to Peggy’s family, friends, colleagues and everyone who knew and loved her. Much of CentrePort’s success and future success is a result of her guidance and care.
