Winnipeg–Philadelphia: Strengthening Trade Connections Ahead of GBF 2026

Last November, senior leaders from World Trade Center Greater Philadelphia (WTCGP) visited Winnipeg to strengthen their partnership with World Trade Centre Winnipeg and explore new opportunities for collaboration ahead of the 2026 WTCA Global Business Forum (GBF), taking place April 19–22 in Philadelphia.

Over two days of meetings, tours, and roundtable discussions, WTCGP connected with leaders across Manitoba’s manufacturing, agriculture, life sciences, logistics, technology, and economic development communities. The visit reinforced what both regions already know: Philadelphia and Winnipeg share real synergies, and there is significant potential for bilateral trade and collaboration.

Their visit ended with a tour of CentrePort Canada, offering a firsthand look at the inland port’s growth and its role in connecting Manitoba businesses to international markets.

If you’re interested in joining Manitoba’s delegation at GBF, book an appointment with a Trade Advisor.
