Built for Growth: Precon Builders’ Western Global Project

In 2024, Precon Builders were proud to bring a new facility for Western Global to life at CentrePort, combining modern design with practical functionality.

Built with a pre-engineered steel structure for durability, the facility features sleek modular bays and a single-sloped, standing-seam metal roof that gives the building a distinctive, contemporary look while supporting energy-efficient performance.

FCC Invites Expressions of Interest for New Agri-Food Financing Initiative

Farm Credit Canada is inviting organizations to bring forward major agri-food processing and manufacturing projects through a new 60-day Expression of Interest process. The call is part of FCC’s $1 billion Agri-food Project Finance initiative, designed to support infrastructure projects that can expand Canada’s food processing and manufacturing capacity. The initiative supports the Government of Canada’s National Food Security Strategy and aims to help build a stronger, more resilient and more affordable food system. By expanding food processing and manufacturing capacity in Canada, the initiative is intended to help create more value-added Canadian agricultural products, strengthen domestic supply chains and improve long-term food security. The specialized debt financing approach is intended to support projects that may be difficult to finance through conventional lending alone. FCC says the initial expression of interest window will help identify suitable projects and better understand industry demand.
