Last year, tariffs and supply‑chain disruptions affected industries and businesses across the country. Still, CentrePort Canada experienced significant momentum. Local businesses grew, expanded, moved in and opened new facilities across the inland port, reinforcing the strength and resilience of our community. Our team celebrated growth and accomplishments too, welcoming a new staff member and students and building strategic partnerships and relations.
Here are some of the highlights:

The first‑ever CentrePort Canada Footprint Award was presented to Gary Doer and Chris Lorenc’s CentrePort Canada Inc. Board tenure with honoured with the Board Chair Globe designed by CentrePort Partner National Research Council Canada

Partnerships Manager Dayna Jankowski joined the CentrePort team and we hosted two RRC Polytech Creative Communications students for three‑week placements.

Eighteen EU delegates came to Manitoba and toured CentrePort Canada. And we travelled to Texas, Marseilles, Vancouver, Ottawa, Kansas City and Yellowknife to share insights, foster strategic partnerships, and build trade relations.

We saw major business growth, including:
- Groupe Touchette doubled its facility.
- MoveMobility advanced construction on their new building
- Boeing Winnipeg expanded by 12,000 sq. ft.
- Perimeter Aviation opened their new terminal
- StandardAero broke ground on a 70,000 sq. ft. expansion.

Development advanced across the inland port:
- Water and wastewater infrastructure in CentrePort South, in the City of Winnipeg lands, is on track to be completed by mid-2026.
- Winnipeg Airports Authority’s Multi-Tenant Air Cargo and Logistics Facility will be operational by summer 2026.
- Medline Canada, Arctic Beverages LP and Polymershapes Winnipeg moved into West Creek Industrial Park.
Thank you to the Partners, builders, innovators and team members who drove progress throughout 2025. We can’t wait for you to see what’s in store for 2026.
