Construction Updates – February 2024

Interested in what’s happening at CentrePort? With over $400 million in building permits issued over the last 5 years, totaling 2.3 million SF of construction, the landscape is constantly evolving. Here’s a look at some of the latest projects:

InksPort Industrial Park

Two build-to-suit buildings are currently under construction in the 43.4 acre InksPort Business Park. Signage is up at the newly constructed Duron building and the building should be operational by summer. Learn more.

Brookside Business Park

CentrePort Partner Contempora Steel Builders have completed a design-build project for Wrangler Truck Service in Brookside Business Park. The facility spans 14,220 square feet and includes 10 spacious drive-through bays, blending the look of an office with the practicality of a maintenance space. The sleek charcoal and black exterior features a pop of red at the entrance, giving a modern twist to the Wrangler façade. Learn more.

Steele Business Park

Phase II of Steele Business Park is now 70% leased. Upon completion, this Park will consist of 3 multi-tenant industrial buildings, totaling 220,000 SF on 17 acres. Gardon Construction has started tenant fit-up of their new facility in Steele Business Park that will include research, innovation and training in construction digitalization, and 3D concrete printing. 

Tenants in Phase I include, Mercury Specialty Products, Lennox International, RockGlass, Milwaukee Tool and more. Learn more.

Steele Business Park – Phase II

West Creek Industrial Park

Two new buildings, totaling ±294,000 square feet of industrial space are currently under construction and available for lease in West Creek Industrial Park owned by Hopewell Developments. Building 1 is complete and ready for immediate possession with Building 2 set to be complete within the next 2 to 3 months. There is strong activity amongst tenants of 20,000 to 50,000 SF.

Situated at the corner of the Red Fife Road and Durum Drive, these developments are in close proximity to James A. Richardson International Airport and offer direct access to major transportation routes including Route 90, CentrePort Canada Way, Perimeter Highway, and Inkster Boulevard.
