$60 million in funding secured to advance servicing in CentrePort South – January 2023

In October 2022, the Government of Manitoba announced that it will invest up to $40 million in servicing infrastructure to support the expansion and future development of CentrePort South. This funding, in addition to $20 million previously committed by the City of Winnipeg, will enable the water and wastewater servicing to be installed in Phase 1A of the CentrePort South expansion.

“We’ve seen the success of CentrePort North and now is the time to export that same model to develop prime industrial and residential land within the city. This investment will be a key economic driver and everyone stands to benefit – CentrePort, Winnipeg and Manitoba. I applaud the Manitoba government for taking this bold step forward.” – Martin McGarry, CEO, Cushman & Wakefield Stevenson, and president and CEO of MMI Asset Management.

There are 1,800 developable acres in CentrePort South:

  • 260 acre YWG West Side Lands (airport adjacent development)
