The Government of Manitoba has initiated a study to develop a functional design for the north Perimeter Highway into a fully grade-separated freeway that can accommodate 6 lanes. This study will take approximately two years to complete and use both technical studies and public input and feedback to determine road right-of-way and roadway layout based on projected travel patterns and demand.
CentrePort Partner, WSP, has been engaged to develop the design which will provide highway access via grade separated interchanges with service roads to accommodate access to fronting developments. Additionally, Manitoba Transportation and Infrastructure has been conducting a Safety Plan Review to address the access points and intersections where there is the greatest risk of severe collisions.
