Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada – Behind the Scenes Sneak Peek!

On Wednesday, October 27, CentrePort Canada hosted its annual footprint tour. More than 50 partners and stakeholders joined us for an up-close look at the development happening right now on the inland port footprint.

The first stop on the tour was a behind the scenes look at the recently completed Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada (RAMWC). Built by CentrePort partner PCL, the 86,000 square foot museum came in $1 million under budget and was completed ahead of schedule. The museum is set to open in March of 2022.

Museum visitors will be guided by the story of flight across western and northern Canada through 14 immersive galleries, including 22 aircraft and a rich selection of artefacts. The galleries highlight Manitoba’s remarkable contribution to aviation history and the wonder behind the science of flight will inspire future aviators and inventors.
